Round 4 - The Lock-In

Overview
Round 4 is the final phase of the game. Players may spend their accumulated Star Bank to strategically swap cards before the game ends. The objective is to optimize your final hand while ensuring that the total star value of your hand does not exceed the room’s maximum star limit (default: 25★).
Once a player locks in, their hand becomes final.
The first player will be the one with the most stars in the Bank; in case of a tie, the first player will be randomly selected from among those tied. Subsequent players then take their turn in a clockwise direction.

Actions Available
SPEND STARS BANK
(Available only if Star Bank ≥ 10★)
The player banishes cards from their hand and replaces them with new ones.
1. Ban Cards (1 to max allowed)
Selected cards move from Hand → Banned Pool
Cards become face up (visible to all players)
Cards are moved to the banned zone
Banned cards cannot be reclaimed
2. Reclaim from Rugged Pool (0 to number of banned cards)
Selected cards move from Rugged Pool → Hand
Cards become face down (private)
3. Draw from Hidden Pool (remaining count)
Random cards move from Hidden Pool → Hand
Cards are face down (private)
The total number of reclaimed + drawn cards must equal the number of banned cards.
After completing this action, the Star Bank is fully spent and set to 0.
Cards are moved face down in this resolution. This allows other players to view the animation and remember the number of cards in the rugged position to try and guess which cards the player received.
LOCK-IN
(Automatic after SPEND STARS BANK, or standalone if Star Bank < 10★)
The system automatically balances the player’s hand to meet the maximum star limit.
Automatic Balancing Logic
While the total star value of the hand exceeds the maximum (25★):
Identify the highest-star hero in the hand
If multiple cards are tied, select one at random
Move that card from Hand → Rugged Pool
Card is placed face up
Draw a replacement card:
From Hidden Pool (if available), otherwise from Rugged Pool
Replacement card is face down
The "Lock-in" is automated to guarantee the maximum number of stars allowed. The automatic discarding process can be optimized as a strategy, however, players who accidentally place more stars than allowed may lose high-star cards. This is considered the most critical moment in the game.
Final State After Lock-In
Player’s hand total is ≤ 25★
Player is marked as Locked In
Turn advances to the next player
