Escrows / Fee
Escrow Requirement
To join any room (public or private), players must deposit an escrow amount predetermined by the hoster. This deposit serves as a guarantee that players will submit valid hands to the Fantasy.top PvP lobbies.
Default escrow: 0.01 ETH
Fee Structure
From each escrow deposit, the following fees are deducted:
5% to the House (FantasyGambit platform)
5% to the Hoster (room creator)
Net escrow retained: 90% of the original deposit
Escrow Recovery
Players may recover their escrow (minus fees) under the following conditions:
The player successfully completes the Gambit session
The player submits the exact hand received during the Gambit to the Fantasy.top lobby within the deadline
Escrow Forfeiture
The escrow is not refundable if:
The player fails to submit their deck within the deadline (treated as withdrawal)
The player submits a hand that differs from the one received in the Gambit
Invalid Hand Penalties
If one or more players submit an invalid hand (a deck that does not match their Gambit result):
The lobby may be canceled for all participants
The escrow(s) from invalid players will be distributed equally among valid participants
House and hoster fees are still deducted before distribution
Funds are credited to the affected players' FantasyMeter wallets
Why Escrows Matter
The escrow system is the primary mechanism ensuring competitive integrity. It guarantees that:
Players are incentivized to participate fully
Submitted decks accurately reflect Gambit outcomes
Bad actors face meaningful financial consequences
For details on deck submission requirements and penalties, see the Submitting your Deck section.
